How to Play Odd Jobs
(3 or more players. Recommended age 16 or older.)
The player with the most cards at the end of the game wins.
Play as many rounds as you want, making sure everyone gets equal turns. Players take turns in a clockwise order.
You need a timer. Turns are 90 seconds.
On your turn:
1
Draw one card from the orange and blue decks. The pair of words on the cards creates an “odd job.” Example: “Odor Smuggler."

2
Describe the odd job to the other players without using the words on the cards. (If you accidentally speak a card word, discard the pair and draw a new pair.)
3
The other players guess the odd job.
4
When the (complete) odd job is correctly guessed, give the guesser one card and keep one card for yourself. (It does not matter which one.) Keep your earned cards separate from the decks.
5
Draw card pairs and describe as many odd jobs as you can in 90 seconds.
Before you play, decide if guesses must be exact (difficult) of if they can be “close enough” (easier).
Make it Odd!
There is a temptation to describe one word at a time to the guessers. Instead, try to remember it's the pair of words together that makes the job odd. Rather than trying to the the group to guess, "Odor", followed by the word, "Smuggler", provide a hint like: "I take smells in and out of the country, right under Custom's noses!"
